‘Tis the Season

‘Tis the season of giving, and much like previous years, we take the time to acknowledge and give thanks to what is important in life. For most, it is family, friends, and good health. All of us at Matrix would like to extend our sincere gratitude and well wishes this holiday season to all of our customers, dealers, fitness trainers, service technicians – anyone and everyone who has supported us throughout the year.

Your support, enthusiasm, and resolution to Believe in Better inspires us to continue to innovate and help you in return by offering the best products to motivate you and your members to live a healthy, active lifestyle.

Thank you, and have a wonderful holiday season,

Kent

Matrix Suspension Elliptical - Reinventing the Wheel

To get an idea of the benefits of the new Matrix Suspension Elliptical over traditional ellipticals with wheels and tracks, imagine if cars did not have tires and instead floated over the open road. There would be no need to constantly check air pressure or replace tires due to tread wear. Shocks would not be required for smooth driving; the experience would always be smooth and quiet.

Ironically, Matrix has in a sense, reinvented the wheel by actually eliminating the wheels and tracks from a traditional elliptical. Our innovative suspension design eradicates two of the regular maintenance procedures that include keeping the wheels and tracks clean, and replacing worn out wheels and tracks. Additionally, there is no sound or feeling from wheel-on-track friction. The only maintenance the suspension elliptical requires is the standard post-workout wipe down and general cleaning.

This results in less downtime and cost associated with replacing the wheels and tracks, ultimately lowering your total cost of ownership. Users benefit with a perpetually smooth, fluid machine that delivers an effective workout every time.

Kranking Initiative Wins Fitness Award

The Johnny G Krankcycle® by Matrix continues to garner attention worldwide – this time with an award from New Zealand. Congratulations to Manukau Leisure, recently awarded the Innovation Award at the New Zealand Fitness Industry Awards for their Kranking initiative.

Manakau Leisure launched their Kranking® class formats this past February 2011 as the first of its kind in New Zealand. Offering Krank Fusion, Express, and standard Kranking classes; it presented a unique cardio and toning workout opportunity for physically challenged and able-bodied users. In the five months following the launch, Krank sessions have attracted over 2,000 attendees!

The New Zealand Fitness Industry Awards are an annual event, recognizing excellence in the New Zealand exercise and fitness industry. Awards have a number of categories for individuals and facilities that operate in the fitness/exercise industry. There are also special awards for those outside the industry that show a commitment to health and wellness through exercise. With the exception of two awards, all awards are based on an application process and reviewed by a judging panel.

Where would you like to go today? With Virtual Active™ by Matrix, users have the chance to escape to exotic locales, including the Pacific Northwest, our feature destination for this month.

Welcome to the Pacific Northwest; home of Seattle, Mount St. Helens, and Pike Place Market. Seattle is the northernmost major city in the contiguous United States, and the largest city in the Pacific Northwest with a population of 3.3 million. Mount St. Helens is an active volcano located 96 miles south of Seattle. The volcano made news when it erupted in May 1980; the deadliest and most costly volcanic event in U.S. history. Pike Place Market opened in August 1907, making it the oldest continually-operated public farmer's market in the United States. The market also attracts 10 million visitors a year, making it one of Washington’s most frequently visited destinations.

Virtual Active by Matrix is fully interactive video programming compatible with all existing 7xe, 7x, and 3xe cardio products and Myride
