ICG Academy Opens in San Francisco

ICG® Academy has just opened in San Francisco at the OMpower Cycle/Yoga Studio. OMpower, a boutique studio, will be the North American headquarters of Indoorcycling Group (ICG®) and its premiere showcase facility on the West Coast. OMpower features an impressive cinematic stage to display Myride®+, the new video-cycling product designed for use in both live and virtual classes. All cycling instructors at OMpower are ICG-certified and trained to teach with Myride+.

ICG, together with Matrix, has steadily gained market share in clubs throughout North America with the LIVESTRONG® by Matrix indoor cycle. With the premiere of ICG Academy and the standout product Myride+, Matrix and ICG have differentiated themselves in the indoor cycling market with a true first in the industry.

Free ICG Online Education

As club owners and Group X instructors are aware, staying competitive in today’s market requires continued education and re-certification, which can add expense for clubs or instructors and extra time for instructors in travel and attendance. Our partner in indoor cycling education and manufacturing, ICG® (Indoorcycling Group), has eliminated the inconvenience and travel costs by providing free online education.

Some may argue that online education may not be as effective as in-studio sessions. Actually, the U.S. Department of Education published “Evaluation of Evidence-Based Practices in Online Learning”, which may counter those assertions. According to the report, online students outperformed those taking the same course live, which was attributed to increased time studying self-paced, online materials.

With free ICG online education, instructors can get accredited courses in the convenience of their homes, on their own time. Staying competitive in Group X has never been easier. To create a personal account, go to and get immediately activated with ICG’s free CEC courses.

Krank Express - Small Group Training

Kranking® Express is one of the five ways you can implement the Johnny G Krankcycle® by Matrix into your facility. Kranking Express is done in a small group setting by utilizing Krankcycles on the main cardio floor – making it visible, extremely accessible, and a fun, effective way to train in just 20 minutes.

Express doesn’t need a studio and can be completed with or without music. With just a few Krankcycles on the floor, you can challenge your members while increasing your bottom line. Using the Krank Express format, Body Business in Austin, TX generated an additional $20,000 in revenue over a six-month period!

During each 20-minute Kranking Express session, the upper body goes through thousands of repetitions, translating into improved strength, definition, and weight loss. Many have commented about improved upper body definition without the need for lifting traditional weights.

The Krankcycle is so versatile, it will help retain clients, attract new clients, and increase the overall profitability of any personal training program. Give Kranking Express a try!
